He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Petty and Clara Petty (Vance); his wife Carol Cameron; his daughter Barb Hedden; and his siblings, James, Charles, Marion, Lyle Petty, Lillian Bassett, Clara Belle Hall, Beulah "Boots" Haage and Eva Flaharty.
He is survived by: his son Gary Petty of Havana; and his sister Marilyn Schafer of Arizona. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Havana Church of Christ (350 S Broadway St, Havana, IL 62644-1420). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in Arthur's name to his family or to the American Cancer Society.
