It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thomas Jefferson (Harvey, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on December 20, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnestine Wallace and Sammie Lee Jefferson; and his sister Diana Jefferson. He is survived by: his sisters, Linda Patrice Jefferson, Shirley Ann Bowers and Annie Jean Hannah; his wife Larceeda Jefferson (Waller); his sister Renee Prentiss; his children, Kerra Karim (Khalid), Ginerva Jefferson, Larceeda British Hyrams (Kevin), Adrian Jefferson, Darrellton Jefferson and Darius Jefferson (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Khamaree (Viesha), Khevon Karim (Jennifer), Jamal, Akilah, Aman Hyrams, Antwon Jefferson, Jasmine, Taylor McCarroll, Christopher and Tiffany Jefferson. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
