He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Swigart and Ethel Swigart. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Swigart; his children, Collette Lee (Claude), Mark Swigart, Kim Avila (Lou) and Therese Swigart; and his grandchildren, Victoria, Veronica and Louie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family or to the National Alliance on Mental Illness are greatly appreciated.
