He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Karolczak and Bernice Carlsen Karolczak. He is survived by: his wife Norma Marengo Karolczak; his daughter Dawn Huff (Joe); and his brother Dick Karolczak (Angie). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
