He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Walter Emil and Loretta Schimke (Domke); his wife Helen Baldwin of Harvard; his sons, Walter Schimke (Kelly) of Medford, OR and Erik Schimke of Frankfurt, IL; his niece Luanna Grimes (Rick); his stepchildren, Robert Hays (Terri), Carla O'Neill (Mike) and Pam Matteson (Steve); and his former wife Delores. He was also cherished by 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 6 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren.
