He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mikkali and Lillian Mikkali. He is survived by: his wife Donna Korst of Harvard; his children, Craig Gates (Maureen) of Crystal Lake, IL and Jessica Gates of Crystal Lake, IL; and his grandchildren, Dayton, Leticia, Vashon and Lucas Gates.
