He was predeceased by: his parents, Glendon Whaples and Hazel Whaples (Peters). He is survived by: his wife Karen Whaples; his children, Christine Kurth (Donald), Joellen Vanhout (Richard), Linda Hathaway (Marc) and Sean Whaples (Heather); and his sister Debra Hayden (Scott). He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren.
