Catherine P. Henning Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine P. Henning of Harvard, Illinois, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul V. Alexander and Catherine Alexander (Roach); her husband Carroll; her siblings, Jim, Bob, Marie and Margie; her sons, Daniel and Jeffery; her grandsons, Andrew and Timothy Vermett; and her great grandchild Lukas Parsek.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Henning (Mary), Ralph Henning (Susan), Catherine Slobodnik (Francis), William Henning (Theresa), Mary Henning, Judy Henning, Wayne Henning, Kevin Henning (Kim), Janice Pribble (Darrell), Bridget Vermett (Vince) and Marcia Moellring (David); and her sister-in-law Lillian Henning. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home (107 W Sumner St, Harvard, IL 60033). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (206 E Front St, Harvard, IL 60033). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery (300 E Brink St, Harvard, IL 60033).
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harvard where Catherine was a member for more than 60 years or to CURE Childhood Cancer in Atlanta, GA.
