He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Forsting and Lila Forsting (Scroggins); and his brother Michael Forsting. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Forsting of Taylorville and Lisa Forsting-Robinson of Taylorville; and his sister Penny Brockman of Red Bud.
