He was predeceased by: his wife Fusae Watanabe Spirling; and his sisters, Vivian Denny and Marjorie Keilhorn. He is survived by: his children, Glen Sperling (Kathleen) of Harrisburg, Ray Sperling (Linda) of Harrisburg and Lita (Terry Storms).
