He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl R. Clayton and Mildred Lucille Clayton (Saylor); and his brother Earl Gene Clayton. He is survived by: his wife LaVern Clayton; his children, Danny L. Clayton (Elaine) of Harrisburg, Illinois and Denise L. Clayton of Harrisburg, Illinois; his grandchildren, Rachyl Rister (Matt) of Harrisburg, Illinois and Roth Clayton (Annie) of Harrisburg, Illinois; his great grandchildren, Isabel Rister, Gunnar Rister, Madilyn Rister, Meyer Clayton, Maisie Clayton and Maclan William Clayton; and his friend Marsha Bockmann of Harrisburg, Illinois.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorrisville Baptist Church All-Star Basketball because of his involvement with coaching youth basketball, and envelopes will be available at the church.
