He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Red" Talandis and Barbara Talandis Sr. (Gulan); his wife Judith L. Griffith; his son Walter Talandis III; his grandson Larry Talandis Jr.; and his brother-in-law Joseph Edward Gwaltney.
He is survived by: his son Larry W. Talandis (Sharon) of Galatia; his grandchildren, Hunter C. Talandis (Mackenzie Thomas) of Metropolis, Laura R. Talandis (Dylan McClerren) of De Soto, Brooklyn N. Talandis of Harrisburg, Danielle M. Sutterfield of Ola and Brittany L. Bryant of Ola Arkansas; and his sister Barbara Marie Gwaltney of Marion. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
