She was predeceased by: her father Sherman; her husband Harold Lee Potter; her adoptive mother Vicki Cantrell of Herod; her son Jeffery Allen Potter; her siblings, Marvin Cunningham and Margart Aileen Beaver; her grandmother Anne Johnson; and her parents-in-law, Rev. Willie and Helen Potter.

She is survived by: her children, Harold Lee Potter Jr. (Joella) of Tucson, Arizona, Billie Gene Potter (Martha) of Spring Hill, Florida, Darla "Kris" Holmes (David) of Carrier Mills, Illinois and Lisa Gayle Rice (Timothy) of Harrisburg, Illinois; her grandchildren, Amy Lynn Potter, Angela Lee Roach (Jeremy) of Springhill, Florida, Kristina Anne Nernberger (Kyle) of Decatur, Illinois, Andrea Dawn Thompson (Marvin) of Benton, Illinois, Samantha Jo May (Billy) of Marion, Illinois, Brittney Nichole Britt (Scott) of Harrisburg, Illinois, Brandi Kay Wright (Nick) of Stonefort, Illinois, Brandon Allen Potter of Harrisburg, Illinois, Rick Lee Rice (Abby) of Harrisburg, Illinois and Matthew Scott Rice (Heather) of Harrisburg, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Tiffanie Maze, Brianna Maze, Taylor Horty (Adam), Brylee Horn, Dawson Griffith, Zachary Nernberger, Matthew Nernberger, Reyen Endsley, Adam Rice, Deegan Rice, Sadie Rice, Kolten Britt, Aiden Britt, Riley Wright and Peyten Wright; and her great great grandchild Beckham Horty. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stricklin Funeral Home (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
