He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore R. Bird and Zella Bird; and his siblings, Donnie R. Bird and Shirley Segelhorst. He is survived by: his wife Alice F. Bird of Harrisburg, IL; his children, Kimberley Glasscock (Brian) of Harrisburg, IL and Randy Bird (Ranjan Devar) of Lockhart, TX; and his brothers, Toby Bird (Denise) of Swanwick, IL. and Ervin Bird (Shirley) of Swanwick, IL.. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois.
