It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stuart Boyd Switzer of Harrisburg, Illinois, born in Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart H. Switzer and Ama E. Switzer (Cron); and his sisters, Phyllis Brown, Mary Catherine Linskey and Jeanne C. Webber.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Switzer; his children, Valerie Lynn (Chris Penrod) of Harrisburg, IL and Daniel Stuart (Candi Switzer) of Bartlett, TN; and his grandchildren, Jada Penrod, Jacob Penrod (Sophie Winkleman), Nick Switzer and Cate Switzer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "Caring for Kids" at the First United Methodist Church.
