We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2025, at the age of 86, Ray Edward Bebout of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Ray Edward's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Ray Edward has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Bebout and Cora Bebout (Hicks); and his wife Mildred Gene Turnage. He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Etienne (Jim) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Bridgette Mott (Terry) of Harrisburg, Darian Etienne of Spring, Texas and Kirstynn Mercado (A. J. Mercado) of Murray, Kentucky; and his great grandchildren, Addy and Avery Mott of Harrisburg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stricklin Funeral Home (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Collier Cemetery and will be received at the funeral home.
