She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Stacey and Lela Stacey (Thompson); her husband Hershel Thompson; and her siblings, William Stacey, Mildred Cremeens, Wilma K. Stacey and Wanda Burpo.
She is survived by: her siblings, Emma Smith of Shawneetown, Helen Fuchs of Harrisburg, James Stacey of Lincoln, Jerry Joe (Judy Stacey), Paul Stacey of Shawneetown and Donald (Gloria Stacey). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations in Neva's memory may be made to the Shawneetown Presbyterian Church or to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
