Mildred Elam Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Elam of Harrisburg, Illinois, born in Hardin, Illinois, who passed away on April 26, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Riley and Millard Conkle; her sons, James "Jimmy" Hollaway and John Hollaway; and her siblings, Berniece Myers, Virginia Lambert (Trammel), Judy Crawford and Billy Conkle.
She is survived by: her children, Cydney Hollaway, David Hollaway and Becky (Hollaway) of Harrisburg; her daughters-in-law, Tammie Hollaway of Harrisburg, Lou Ann Ricci of Orlando, Florida and Karla Carrigan of Harrisburg; and her sister Gynelle Baccus (Don) of Carterville. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) (as requested by Mildred) or the Linda E. White Hospice House, (Deaconess Foundation), Evansville, Indiana, (http://www.deaconess.com) who gave her and her family compassionate care at the end of her life.
