He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Reed and Vevia Reed (Lear); his wife Carla Brooks; and his siblings, Bonnie Mott, Gene Reed and Clarence Reed.
He is survived by: his daughter Brianna Johnson (Cody) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Harper Kate Johnson of Harrisburg, Tucker Lee Johnson of Harrisburg and Hunter Creed Johnson; and his siblings, Sharon Butler (Jonah) of Harrisburg, Pat Blankenship of Dixon Springs, Donna Souders of Brookport, Ronny Reed of Glendale and Bobby Reed (Carolyn) of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his son-in-law.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stricklin Funeral Home, Inc. (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Saline County Stockmen's Association and will be received at the funeral home.
