She was predeceased by: her parents, C. W. Gates and Jeanette Gates (Bramlet); and her spouse Evert Ellis McDermott. She is survived by: her children, Barry McDermott (Diane) of Harrisburg and Jean McDermott of Harrisburg; her grandchildren, Nathan Chester (Morgan) of Corvallis, OR, Claire McDermott of Harrisburg and Evan McDermott of Harrisburg; and her great grandchild Anniston Chester.
