He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Lane and Lawrence Lane; his wife Brenda Adams; his son Jason; his daughters-in-law, Helen Lane and Ginny Adams; his granddaughter Amanda Lane; and his siblings, Bill, Don, J. C. Lane, Wilma "Pud" McBride, Wanda McNear, Anna May "Shorty" Carter and Sally Barnes.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Hanks (George), James "Bub" Lane, Brad Lane (Diana), Matthew Adams and Mark Adams (Ida); and his sisters, Kay Beal (Joe), Opal Fields (David) and Susie Moore (Steve). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Stricklin Funeral Home, Inc. (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Cemetery and will be received at the funeral home.
