He was predeceased by: his parents, William Haney and Pearl Haney (Baker); and his brothers, Charles, Bill, Darrell and Bob Haney.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine Marie (Swinford); his son Tim Haney of Harrisburg; and his brother Roger (Mary Beth Haney).
