It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Lyon (Harrisburg, Illinois), who passed away on May 23, 2020, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gene Woodrow and Tillie Lyon (Mizell); his wife Marianne Alexander; and his sister Kay McArthy. He is survived by: his children, Julie McRoy (Tim) of Harrisburg, David Lyon (Lisa) of Harrisburg, Toby Lyon (Shannon) of Harrisburg and Kenny Jenkins (Terri) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Andrea Craig (Jono) of Springfield, Aaron McRoy of Harrisburg, Alexander McRoy of Harrisburg, Lydia Montgomery (Jake) of Harrisburg, Chloe Caldwell (Luke) of Phoenix, Arizona, Brook Crane of Phoenix, Arizona, Madison Medley, Jaden Crissup of Benton, Garrett Jenkins of Harrisburg, Kaelyn Stevens of Harrisburg, Taylor Stevens of Harrisburg and Daulton Stevens of Harrisburg; his great grandchildren, Phoenix Womick, Elleyet Rose, Finn David Caldwell, Kylar Jane Medley, Hudson Montgomery and Baby Craig; and his siblings, Larry Lyon of Lansing, Michigan, Linda Taylor of Harrisburg, Dee Pelhank (Mary Jane) of Harrisburg and Lee Pelhank (Martha) of Marion. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Church of God Building Fund or Hospice of Southern Illinois, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
