He was predeceased by: his parents, Les Harvel and Lilly Harvel (Donahue); his brother Dennis Harvel; and his niece Amy O'Hagan (Harvel). He is survived by: his wife Pat Masulis; his sons, Brent Harvel (Christine) of Virginia and Chad Harvel (Cathy) of Virginia; his sister-in-law Kathy Thomas (Trav) of Oklahoma; his niece Misty Lattuada (Randy) of Herrin; his great-nephew Rylan Lattuada of Herrin; his aunt Sue Ranchino (Jerry) of Fudgetown, Illinois; his uncle Harry Donahue (Karen) of Marion, Illinois; and his friends, Jeff Hefner (Crystal) of Harrisburg and Donnie Wall (Cathy) of Harrisburg. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Stricklin Funeral Home (503 E Sloan St, Harrisburg, IL 62946). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Finding Forever Animal Rescue and will be received at the funeral home.
