It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Childs (Harrisburg, Illinois), born in Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Ballard and HaNora Ballard (Durbin); her husband James Donald Childs; her siblings, Nora Lea Svendrowski, Ellen Priestmeyer, Mary Ruth Ballard, Joe Ballard and Bill Ballard; and her sister-in-law Virginia York.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Childs (Jill), Maridy Tso (Marcus) and Rebecca Lyles (Anthony); her grandchildren, James Childs (Abi), Jennifer Childs, Skai Tso, Seneca Tso, Jared Brown (Sarah), Ryan Brown (Heather) and Walt Griffin (Kelly); her great grandchildren, Bryson, Bowen, Kaelyn of Ellie, K. D, Lauren, Nathan, Isaac and Evan; and her sister Rita Sue Greer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
