It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Gordon Bailey of Harrisburg, Illinois, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Frank Bailey; and his siblings, Ernest Bailey, Cecil Bailey, Glendell Bailey, Mildred Needer, Mabel McGill, Alsie Bailey and Ruby Barger.
He is survived by: his wife Dorotha Bailey of Harrisburg; his stepsons, Ted Howard (Patty) of Benton, Illinois and Jim Howard (Becky) of Benton, Illinois; and his nieces and nephews, Donna Irwin of Harrisburg, Raymond Barger (Diane) of Delwood, Illinois, Jack Barger (Vickie) of Tunnel Hill, Illinois, Joan Jones (Hillis) of Illinois, Helen Baker (Vinson) of Illinois, Ernestine Evetts of Simpson, Illinois and Barbara Buffington of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to McKinley Avenue Baptist Church or Pleasant Ridge Cemetery and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
