With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alene Walter of Harrisburg, Illinois, born in Hardin, Illinois, who passed away on July 29, 2020 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Ledbetter and Pearlie Ledbetter (Hill); her husband Jacob Walter; her siblings, Vivian, Anna Katherine, Edith, Lori, Frank, John Eston, Raymond and Gilbert; her nieces, Carolyn Murrow and Janet Ledbetter; and her nephew John Ledbetter.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Ann Walter of Harrisburg; and her nieces and nephews, Doris Peters, Norma Thaxton (Terry), Lisa Isom (Richard), Benny Healy (Salley) of Carmi, Thomas Ledbetter of Harrisburg, Stephen Ledbetter (Cindy) of Harrisburg and John Healey of Carmi. She is also survived by 26 great nieces and nephews; 17 great-great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
