He was predeceased by: his parents, George Shea and Rosa Shea (Laird); and his siblings, Franklin, Richard Shea, Imogene Slone and Marilyn Sharp.
He is survived by: his sons, David Shea (Thersea) of South Roxana and Brian Shea of Woodriver; his sister Fern Scheidegger of Pinellas Park, Florida; his granddaughter Barbara Esterlen (Lawrence) of Glen Carbon; and his great grandchildren, Taven, Tucker and Theo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
