He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Sievers and Martha Sievers (Kronable) of Meppen; his father-in-law George Lorton; his uncle Henry; and his aunt Mary Kronable.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ella, Cade, Mary, Kiera, Walter, Rolen, Warner, Mya, Jessa, Henlee, Isabel, Henry, Raif, James, Ray, Winston, Rodney, Josie, Leo and Rhett; his wife Cindy; his mother-in-law Jean Lorton; and his siblings, Roy Sievers (Helen), Sandy Lorton (Jeff), Marlene Eilerman (Fred), Pat Sievers (Jena), Duane Sievers (Kate), Mindy Snider (Greg), Missy Rowling (Tony), Debbie Flock (Eric), Chris Lorton (Brenda) and Lisa Lorton Dolan. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
