He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gress and June Gress (Matthews) of Hardin; his parents-in-law, Marlon and Flossie Varble; his brother Doug Gress; and his nephew Jason Sagez.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Varble; his daughters, Jamie Mook (Nick) of Hardin and Kati Blackwell (Jacob) of Hamburg, IL; his grandchildren, Autumn Mook, Jamanson and Jovie Blackwell; his sisters, Renee Sagez (Tim) of Hardin and Jill Rulon of Missouri; and his sister-in-law Nadine Gress (Doug) of Nutwood. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gress, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home - Hardin (207 S County Rd, Hardin, IL 62047). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Norbert's Church.
