He is survived by: his parents, Herman T. Hagen Sr. and Clara Hagen (Flanigan); his spouse Christina "Tina" Cunningham; and his daughter Dan. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
