He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Kooken (Curt) of Peoria, Charla Dixon of Hanna City, Jennifer Redd (Tyrone) of Bloomington and Kristi Stephens (James) of Hanna City; his brothers, Donald Carter (Shela) of Oklahoma, Gail Carter of Princeville, Jerry Carter (Loree) of Bartonville, Kevin Carter (Mary) of Dunlap and Mike Carter (Kim) of Dunlap; and his grandchildren, Kathryn Creasy (Jeremy), Liz Evans, Charlie Sparks, Kelly Nehls (Jake), Melody Genusa (Zane Steadman), Raya Redd, Cort Dixon, Kalin Redd, Seth Stephens (Kennedy), Hailey Stephens, Leah Stephens and Grey Kooken. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Center or Charter Oak Bible Church.
