He is survived by: his sons, David Bowers of Haddonfield, Steven Bowers of Oswego, Illinois and James Bowers of Indianola, Iowa; and his siblings, Robert Bowers of Washington, Beverly Torgeson of Plymouth, Iowa and Barbara Pierson of Mason City, Iowa.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
