He is survived by: his brother Bill Stear; and his children, Pam Rodriguez (Raul), Ronald A. Stear, Connie Burek (George), Tim Stear (Susie), Penny Baxter (Mike) and Jeff Stear (Michelle).

Memorials may be made to the Logan-Trivoli Fire Protection District or the Hanna City United Methodist Church.
