We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2022, at the age of 79, Lawrence C. Hammer of Hanna City, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin Dwight and Fern Hammer (Houchins); his son V. "Ed" Hammer; and his sisters, Pat, Barbara and Nancy.

He is survived by: his sons, Patrick C. Hammer of Princeville, Lawrence T. Hammer of Bloomington and Andrew W. Hammer of Hanna City; his stepchildren, Leslie Gavelys (Chad) of Yates City and Christopher Zeglen of Anchorage, Alaska; and his grandchildren, Carissa, Carmen and Carter Gavelys. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hanna City United Methodist Church or the BYE Ambulance Service.
