He was predeceased by: his parents, John Stear and Maude Stear (Sleeth); his brothers, Jim (Evelyn Crim), Melvin Stear, John (Alberta Stear), Gene (Millie Stear) and Frank (Ruth Stear); his brother-in-law Jerome Powers; his son-in-law Donald Larkin; and his daughter Beverly Stear.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Ann Richmond; his children, Melody Wiseman of Elmwood, IL, Harold Stear Jr. (Bud) of Fort Worth, TX, Kelly Larkin of Hanna City, IL and Gregory Stear (Mindy) of Washington, IL; his grandchildren, Aaron Sarff, Amber Logsdon, Alec Wiseman (Blanca), Lexi Stear, Jonathan and Kristopher Larkin; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Adam Sarff, Asher Logsdon, Kylie and Kamilla Wiseman; and his siblings, Elizabeth Powers of Elmwood, IL, William Stear (Shirley) and Ronald Stear (Velma) of Hanna City, IL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Chicago.
