George Cackley Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Cackley of Hanna City, Illinois, born in Keokuk, Iowa, who passed away on December 3, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Cackley and Alma A. Cackley (Pearson); his wife Elizabeth Joann Pontius; and his siblings, Donald P. Cackley and Marilyn E. Schroder.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Vernon (DeVere) of Hanna City, Diana Fitzgibbons of Bloomington, IN and Steve Cackley (Becky) of Hanna City; and his grandchildren, Elyse Vernon, Leann Vernon, Erin Fitzgibbons and Ryan Fitzgibbons. He is also survived by two nieces and eight nephews.
Due to COVID-19, private graveside services will be at Scandinavian Cemetery in Montrose, IA.
Memorials may be made to Logan-Trivoli Fire Protection District or Greater Peoria Honor Flight.
