She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lorenz and Margarette Lorenz; and her daughter-in-law Mary Schmitt. She is survived by: her children, Duane Schmitt, Gail Brage (Les), Lynette Schmitt and Ann Marie Thompson (Tim); her grandchildren, Greg Schmitt (Amanda), Doug Schmitt (Katie), Michael Schmitt (Tara), Derek Harmon, Robert Harmon (Jacqueline), T. J. Thompson, Aaron Thompson, Jamie Ames (Dan) and Brandy Davis (Jeremy); her great grandchildren, Brianna, Jackson, Maddux, Bryce, Beckett, Alexa, Karsen, Hattie, Jordyn and Layla; her husband Robert "Bob" Schmitt; her stepmother Lola Lorenz; and her brother Roger Lorenz.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Conley Funeral Home (116 W Pierce St, Elburn, IL 60119). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
