He was predeceased by: his parents, Sydney Sterling and Evelyn Sterling (Letellier); and his brother Stuart Sterling. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Jean Barnes; his sons, Scott Benjamin Sterling (Elizabeth Oakes) of San Leandro, CA and Sean Michael Sterling (Sara) of La Place; and his grandchildren, Spencer, Sondra, Samantha, Sabrina and Scott Brigham.
