It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanie Raynell Ahrendt of Hammond, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Jeanie Raynell leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Ray Jones and Patricia Lou Jones (Sallee); and her daughters, Melissa Anne Ambler and Mindy Jo Ahrendt. She is survived by: her husband Dan Lee Ahrendt; her children, Matthew Lee Ahrendt (Reachel) of Hammond, IL and Susan Danielle Hurley (Joseph) of Conroe, TX; and her siblings, Michael Ray Jones of Mt. Zion, IL, Russell Dean Jones (Michele) of Cleveland, TN, Nancy Lea Hayes of Henrietta, OK and Julie Anne Knox of Morris, OK.. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
