He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Staffy and Ina Staffy (House); his former wife Marilyn Mae Dehart; his siblings, Rosetta Mize, Adeline Hodgson, Betty Ragar and Charles Staffy; his close friend Clayton Dehart; his stepdaughter Deborah Dunseth; and his stepson-in-law Gary Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Vera James Staffy; his daughter Kathy Curfman (Rick) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Renita (Michael), Rosanne Picone (Edward) and Ryan Curfman (Janelle); his stepchildren, Donald James (Eva) of Jacksonville, David James (Donna) of Pittsfield and Deana Jones of Pittsfield; his stepgrandchildren, Donielle Purdue (Howard), Darcey Keeney (Jon), Matthew James, Marc James, Paul Dereak (Kathy) of Alexa Dereak, BJ, Chad James (Nadia) and Kim Bailey; and his in-laws, Dale, Cindy Shelton, Bob, Karen Dehart, Sue Dehart and Kay Dehart. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Pittsfield First Christian Church, Shriners Hospital, or IVHQ Benefit Fund (Hammond Activities.) Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, Il. is assisting the family with arrangements.
