He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight K. Yeakley and Isabelle Durbin Yeakley; and his siblings, Max, Larry Yeakley and Maxine Pharis.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Ann Owens; his sons, Ken Yeakley (Gayle) of Hammond and Steve Yeakley (Heidi) of Atwood; his grandchildren, Jordan O'Hara (Tyler), Colton Yeakley and Ryan Yeakley; and his great grandchild Alyson O'Hara. He is also survived by niece and 2 nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Hammond Fire Protection District or Sullivan Health Care Activity Fund.
