He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter H. Jones and Jennie Vida Jones (Cox); his wife Harriett Minnie Mesecher; his sons, Garrie and Walter H. Jones, Jr.; and his brothers, Arthur Jones and James Jones.
He is survived by: his daughter Judy Smythe (John) of Ames; and his sister Ruth June Taylor of Quincy. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
