It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Anna McAllister (Hamilton, Illinois), born in Jefferson, Iowa, who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry R. Black and Laura Wynona Black (Hummell); her husband Harry S. McAllister; and her siblings, Violet Weaver, Ruth Keller, Roy Black, Carl Black, Harry J. Black and Robert Black.
She is survived by: her children, Robert McAllister of Galesburg, Elizabeth Long (George) of Ft. Madison, Thomas McAllister (Diane) of Gulfport and Teresa McAllister of Elvaston; and her grandchildren, Jay Bowen, Joshua McAllister, Angela McAllister-Blevins, Kathleen Bowen, Shawn Murphy, Belinda Shallcross and Jessica McWhortor. She is also survived by four great grandsons; and two great granddaughters.
A memorial fund has been established.
