He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Childers and Palice Marie Bufford; his wife Alice Cook; his stepfather Orlando Patterson; and his siblings, Marilyn, Merle, Ronnie Patterson and Ray Childers.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Marks (Dean Hagman) of Kahoka and Stuart Childers of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Ashley Deck, Felicity Childers and Jacob Deck; his great grandchild Allana Deck; and his siblings, Charles Patterson (Mary) of Hamilton and Joyce Williams of Marengo, Iowa. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be directed to the Faith Assembly of God Church in Hamilton.
