She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bowyer and Lucy Bowyer (Campbell); her husband Joseph R. Barra; and her siblings, Mary O'Neil and Bill Bowyer.

She is survived by: her daughter Janny Hartley (Terry) of Edwardsville, IL; her grandchildren, Nathan Hartley (Andrea) of Dorsey, IL and Tara Robertson (Drew) of Dorsey, IL; her great grandchildren, Hank, Tessa, Cyler Hartley of Dorsey, IL, Elena and Wyatt Robertson of Dorsey, IL; and her stepson David Barra (Lynne) of Portland, OR. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.

Memorials may be made to Benld Adopt-A-Pet or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
