It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Ann Cruz (Gurnee, Illinois), who passed away on December 15, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Socorro Torres; her stepfather Johnny Torres; her husband Gilberto Cruz; her grandson Andrew Selders; her aunts, Helen Martinez, Mary Perez and Rose Medina; and her uncle Mark Cruz.

She is survived by: her children, John Gallegos (Dawn), Rebecca McSparran and Adam Cruz Sr. (Licet Velasco-Cruz); her grandchildren, John D Gallegos, Ian McSparran, Deja Neal, Leticia Velasco, Adam Cruz Jr. and Laneya Cruz; her great grandchildren, Adin, Kaiiden, Jayden, Armani, Jovanni, Ethan and Jabari; and her sister Melinda Gibson. She is also survived by her uncles, aunt, and all of her cousins.
