She was predeceased by: her husband Leo Mattson; her parents, Martha Ahola and Wallen Ahola; and her siblings, Doris Barney (Ahola) and Irving Ahola.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Huwe (Mel) of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Robert Mattson of Round Lake, IL, Diane Dorsey (Sean) of Vernon Hills, IL and Dawn Kiolbassa (Dave) of Elgin, IL.; her grandchildren, Kim Massey, Kristen Kruhlik (Jakub), Courtney Kiolbassa, Curt Kiolbassa (Ricki), Megan Antonneau (Noah) and Brynne Dorsey; and her great grandchildren, Julian Massey and Griffin Kiolbassa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (1822 E Grand Ave, Lindenhurst, IL 60046). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
