We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2022, at the age of 98, Laura Rose Hamel (Gurnee, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond R. Hamel; her son Randy Hamel; her stepchild Jean Matthews Crowell (late Tom Crowell); and her grandson David Matthews. She is survived by: her children, Rachel Albers (late Ronald), Roy Hamel and Rodney Hamel; her stepchild Archie Hamel (Pat); her grandchildren, Danielle Robinson (Kevin), Douglas Sires (Kimberly), Derrick Matthews, Damond Matthews (Shelene), Daton Matthews (Rhonda), Donna Matthews, William Boggs and Glenn Boggs (Kari); and her great grandchildren, Malik, Devney, Elijah, Nadia, Liam, Zivah and Abraham. She is also survived by two brothers, four sisters and countless nieces, nephews and cousins.
