He was predeceased by: his siblings, Marilyn Shaffstall, William Shaffstall (Ronalda), Diane Virta (late Gary), Allie Mary Gariepy (Bob) and Amy Hillier (John); his parents, William Shaffstall and Suzette Shaffstall; his aunt Alice Mary Scholtes; and his father-in-law Henry Ricken.
He is survived by: his children, John Shaffstall (Kelsey), William Shaffstall II and Hannah Domanski (Peter); his granddaughters, Suzette and Alice Mary Shaffstall; and also Ann M. Shaffstall.
